Product Overview
The Racetronix FPWK-052-D is the definitive electrical upgrade system for the 1997-2003 C5 Corvette, specifically engineered for high-performance DCSS pumps.
Why do you need this upgrade? Think of your fuel system like a high-powered car audio amplifier: you wouldn’t power a massive subwoofer with the thin wiring intended for a factory radio. Factory fuel pump wiring is engineered only for the modest current draw of a stock pump. Modern, high-performance fuel pumps can draw doubleor triplethe current of the original unit. Exceeding the capacity of the stock wiring leads to significant voltage drop, melted bulkhead connectors, and premature pump failure, preventing the pump from ever reaching its rated performance potential.
This kit fundamentally re-engineers power and ground delivery. By repurposing factory ground circuits into a dual-positive feed, we effectively double the current-carrying capacity through the bulkhead, ensuring high-flow pumps operate at their full rated capacity. This kit is also featured as a component of our RFPK-055-450E fuel pump system.
